 My First District Meeting! :)

First off, I am so grateful to be Sister Scott's Companion. She is one amazing Missionary and daughter of God! I feel like I am more here for Sister Scott then for a area as amazing as Amherst is and I do love the Members I have gotten to meet so far. I am really excited to help this area explode with Sister Scott! ;)  She is from Utah. We came out together and she just turned 21. :) She reminds me of Erin so you know what she is like. :)

We have had a few adventures these past few days! One of them being that we went to find a media referral that was actually the brother that referred him and he told us to go and find him (he lives in the U Mass dorms). Ok, so, we start off with parking in an underground parking lot and finding our way through a maze of halls. Then we see two girls giving out free popcorn. We stopped and asked one of the girls where to find a certain dorm. We chatted with her AND!!!!! it turns out that she is a member and hasn't come to church in a long time!!! We found a less active!!! She said that she would come next Sunday... we should probably tell her about General Conference now that I think about it... haha! We'll get on that. ;) Anyways, back to the story...we head out into the down pore of rain with no umbrellas determined to find our Referral! We get lost a few times but we eventually find the dorm!!! When we get there we call the Guy so that he can come down and talk when he says, "Is this a prank?" ...Sister Scott hangs up the phone and we look at each other in defeat and dripping wet. I then quickly turn to the guy at the greeting desk and say, "Well!, would you like to hear a message about Jesus Christ? " He had a surprised smile on his face and hesitantly said, "...Sure...?" We both blew it out of the ball park and gave him our number and we got his! Even though he wasn't super interested, he was nice and impressed with our dedication. We asked him to tell us if he ever meets anyone that might be interested and he said he would. :D

Plus!!! you thought that was all, huh? As we drove out to pay the guy for parking, Sister Scott was totally bold and gave him a card. He said that he had a faith but his wife was into that kinds of things and he would give it to her!!!!

Those were some pretty awesome miracles that happened in a time that we could have gotten really discouraged. :)

I also fulfilled a dream I had of walking and getting sopping wet in the rain just like in the movies. :D haha!

Oh, dear. ^^

I love you all my dreams come true!

I am getting Transferred!!!! I'm going to Amherst!!!! and going to be Companions with Sister Scott!!!!
I love her!

Sister Slater is going to be Training!

Today is my last day in the area so we are going to go to Boston and then head to Transfer meeting (that will now be on Wednesdays and we now will be finding out on Friday at District Meetings) so we are heading out early so we can get to North Brookfield chapel on time. That's where Transfer meeting will be at so fun! :) Memories! :)

We also had an investigator Susan that came to Stake Conference! She was so impressed by the things that were said and about how happy everyone was. This was a really special time for me to be sitting there with her and thinking back to when I first met her in CVS and simply said that I liked her earrings and thanked her for being a really welcoming devoted worker in her job. Then flash forward to now and she is now going to have her life changed by the greatest gift there is to give. Never underestimate meager beginnings. :)

Fun Fact! My first Sunday here was a Stake Conference and now my last was Stake Conference! I've been here for 6 months!!!!

I will send more pictures on Monday!

Thank you for you letters and pictures of you and of California. Sister Bell and I appreciated it. ^^

Love you all lots of new adventures to come. :D

Love,

Sarah :)

so I did this so they could have evidence to send their families. ^^

Sister Slater Cleaning the Font! :)

The work is moving like crazy!

We had Joe's Baptism and I got to give the talk on Baptism! I felt so honored! And we had a potential there as well named Paul! We had met him at our service we do at a food pantry on Tuesday's and Thursday's. We met him on Thursday. We shared with him what we believe and then invited him to church.  He said that he would actually really like to come and that he was intrigued! :) He came that Sunday and said that the talks that were given were exactly what he needed. Then after that we had planned to see him on Wed. but he ended up having a doctor's appt. so instead we invited him to Joe's Baptism. After the baptism he mentioned that Joe looked like he had a glow about him and that our church wasn't like anything he's ever seen. That there was something "Different" ;) about it/us. :) !!!!

Also our Lady Susan that we met at CVS was going to come to church yesterday but got sick from something she ate but she said that she would be there next Sunday! She is golden and so sweet! :) We are excited for her! and we are going to try to stop by on Wed. to hopefully start teaching her :)

Oh,Oh,Oh!!! and we got Jackson as a new Investigator!!!!! He is the one that I told you about that we were his first white friends! ^^ We brought some Young Adults with us and they were amazing and fellowshipped him like no other! They right off invited him to an activity and made sure he had a ride and everything! It sounded like he had a fun time at the activity as well! :)
Jackson is one of a kind! After we taught him an intro of the lessons, he told us that he wants us to make sure to tell him what we are going to teach him and what scriptures we were going to go over so that he's not unprepared and that he can be looking sharp and knowing whats going on.  He wants to bring us the right questions that he has little by little so he doesn't overwhelm us with all his questions. haha! ^^

Well I know this church is true and that's the end of it...but really that's just the beginning. ;)

Love,

Sister Patterson

First off, I realized that I never told you that I got your Valentines package!
I loved it and so did Sis.Slater. ;)

We are in Worcester right now for our Preparation day to have a nerf gun war and ice cream!

Our investigator, Joe, got his Baptismal date changed!!!!! to sooner :D so instead of the 22nd its the 15th!!!!! That's this weekend!!! There is so much to do!!! We are so excited and so is he. :)

Sister Slater is so amazing and fun. We have a ton in common! We are doing so much and are still able to have fun and keep humor in the moments that could really be stressful but still getting things done well! I love it! Being able to laugh together in a companionship is so important. ^^

We were able to see the M. kids the other Day finally!!! you will probably remember them from when we tracted them in November.^^ We will hopefully see them this Wednesday.

Well we are going to eat lunch. Sooooo hungry!!! ><

I Love you all a million things to prepare for a Baptism! ^^

Us with another Mini Missionary :) Sister Morey! :)

We have had 2 Mini Missionaries that have started with us
these past 2 weekends ! so fun! ^^

Here are some pretty sunny days we've had. :)

Something I want to say right off is that Zone Conference was just what Sister Slater and I needed! We wanted to talk to president but it was getting late and then we were sad because we had some things we wanted to talk to him about.

We, in Presidents words, "Have far more then we can say grace over!" ^^ We are overflowing with people, we are tightening our belts and getting to work scrambling and organizing ourselves more then ever before! We know that things are the way they are right now for a reason and that there is only so much that the Elders can do as they are doing their best with all of their responsibilities as well.

Sister Slater and I had a really amazing heart to heart and we both love how aligned our goals are which makes things easier to get down to business. The members are awesome which is a big help, but with all that said....WE NEED MORE MISSIONARIES PRESIDENT!!!!! ...there I said it...Well, we will do our best but we know that if that were to happen, this area is going to progress even more then it is now! We feel so blessed to be a part of this time of harvest where "potential investigators are popping up like daisies!"

We both feel like we are going to learn a lot from this transfer! Oh, and I almost forgot! we are also a part of the Digital Mission, and then have 6 hours a week that we are doing service...*few* Please pray that my little goldfish brain will be able to keep in order all this craziness! ><

Love you loads! :)

Sister Patterson

P.S. I am going to lunch now with the office Sisters, Sister Wagner and Sister Bell :)

Oh, Oh, Oh!!! Today is Sister Slater and my 8 MONTH MARK!!!!!!! XD
So crazy! 10 months left!!! That's less then a year!!! ><

I love you a load of new investigators :)
